Oh the heat!

Until about last Friday, if you asked me if I was ready to have this baby, I would have said loudly, NO WAY - give me at least 3-4 more weeks! But then my friend/colleague had her baby.....and then the humidity really kicked in....and then my shoes stopped fitting and sleeping became difficult.....and now I am ready. I think I can make it another 5 weeks if need be...I would prefer to not be induced if things are going well, but seriously, this heat and humidity are KILLING me! I feel like I cannot breathe and my shoes are too tight. But, if BBM wants to come, you know, maybe around the 20th, that's fine as well!

I still feel good, which I am glad about - people have told me I don't have the pregnant waddle yet, which I guess is good, and I am still carrying fairly high (though, with my short torso, it's really hard to tell!). I can tell that BBM is running out of room to move as well - I don't really feel him kicking, but rather just feel him moving here and there, trying to stretch out, and then pushing his feet into my lungs.

I think I am ready in other ways too - the house is clean (though with Tucker's hair, I am vacumming and sweeping almost every day!), my bag is packed, the baby's room is set (the dresser should be arriving any day and then I'll put a pic up of his room), the baby clothes are washed, I ordered and washed (numerous times) all of the cloth diapers, I returned things to Babies R Us, I have my breast pump (waiting on new tubing), and I reoganized the linen closet (to fit baby towels!). Oh, the bottles are sterilized and put away and the garage sale is this Saturday. I know there is probably plenty more to do, but I am feeling good about what I have done. If I could only get the attic organized before his arrival, but it is SOOOO hot up there, I cannot even stand to go upstairs and look around, let alone spend time up there organizing!

Now - my darn feet, I cannot drink enough water to keep the retention at bay! I have taken to wearing flip flop-like shoes.......my others just don't fit! It is a cute look. LOL.

Sorry for the complaining - I actually feel very lucky and really feel very good - I am excited to have this baby and to be able to hold him - such anticipation!

Oh - start making weekly visits to the doc tomorrow - we'll see if I am making progress!
